  • Dr Matthew Redgewell

    Director & Veterinary Surgeon

    Dr Matt grew up in the Yarra Valley on a beef cattle property, where he gained the love of working with animals. After graduating from Billanook College he studied a Bachelor of Science at The University of Melbourne with a Major in Reproductive Zoology. He then went on to complete his Bachelor of Veterinary Science at James Cook University. After graduating as a veterinary surgeon he worked at Seville Veterinary Clinic for several years, then moved overseas with his wife Andrea and lived and work in the United Kingdom and Sweden in referral hospitals. After returning to Australia Matt came back to Seville Veterinary Clinic, and shortly after with his wife Andrea purchased the practice from Dr Marilyn Price in 2023. Dr Matt and Dr Andrea also recently purchased the practice in Yarra Junction from Dr Don Findlay, and have expanded the services and grown to 9 vets across two locations.

    Outside of work Matt enjoys spending time with his young family, Tobias, Matilda and Lukas. And where time allows is a keen fly fisherman.

  • Dr Andrea Redgewell

    Dr Andrea was born and raised in Sweden, and made the big move to Australia to study veterinary science at James Cook University. At university she met her now husband, Dr Matt Redgewell. Upon graduating they spent a few years working in the Yarra Valley before travelling to Europe for veterinary work and travel. Together they have 3 gorgeous children, Tobias, Matilda and Lukas, and two dogs.

    Dr Andrea has a passion for farm animals and working towards healthy livestock to allow for healthy resources and productivity. She is also an enthusiastic horse rider and enjoys all types of equine medicine. Dr Andrea has also worked with teaching veterinary nurses at TAFE and always appreciated a teaching opportunity for any visiting students.

    Outside of work, when time allows, Andrea enjoys spending time outdoors and travelling the world.

  • Dr Courtney Elliott

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Dr Courtney started with us after graduating from the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, with distinction, at The University of Melbourne in 2020.

    Courtney grew up in Kangaroo Ground, on the outskirts of the Yarra Valley. She has owned and ridden horses for most of her life, competed in show jumping and coached younger riders.

    Courtney enjoys all aspects of mixed animal practice, and has a keen interest in surgery - both small and large animal, and takes pride in her work.

    Outside of work you’ll find Courtney riding her horse Mav, eating out at many different restaurants, or travelling near and far with her partner Ryan.

  • Dr Narelle Stillwell

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Dr Narelle's love for animals developed from growing up on hobby farms, where she has owned and cared for a large variety of species both large and small, haired and feathered friends. After graduating high school Narelle completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Movement and Honours Degree of Bachelor of Science. This lead to work in a variety of businesses in a number of roles both at home and overseas, allowing her to extensively travel and experience a number of cultures. These life experiences highlighted her desire to study veterinary science.

    She graduated from Murdoch
    University in 2010 and since then moved to the Yarra Valley and has worked in mixed practice, shelter medicine and small animal practice.

    When not working as a vet, Narelle divides her time between looking after her young family, running the family business and enjoying their farm, where she can be found in the garden, producing food, tending the animals and creating fun memories with the family.

    Dr Lina graduated at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in 2020. She has been working in a large small animal hospital in Stockholm after graduation but her love for mixed species and an Australian adventure brought her here.

    In her younger days she had a horse and a cat. At the moment her three young children are keeping her and her husband busy. Lina loves a challenge and looking forward to all the different Australian animals, including exotics, farm animals and horses.

    When not at work you will find Dr Lina eating nice food and exploring the wine district. Her and her family is all about the outdoors. Biking, running and surfing, or excursions in unexplored areas.

    Ivor is a graduate of the University of Sydney and has spent half of his career as a practice owner of Altona Veterinary Clinic in Melbourne and half of his career in the UK - again owning and managing a small animal practice outside London. He enjoys dentistry and working with grumpy cats (and lots more).

  • Dr Adele De Kretser

    Adele has been an equine and large animal veterinarian since 2012, after graduating from The University of Melbourne. She has worked at equine clinics and hospitals around Victoria, and has experience in all aspects of equine veterinary medicine.

    Adele has a keen interest in advanced veterinary dentistry, and works closely with equine dental specialists. Adele also has a special interest in equine medicine, geriatric care, performance horse management, and preventative health care.

    When not at work Adele keeps busy with her young son, hiking and camping when she can, and playing cello in a community orchestra

    Jess has been working in this industry since 2006 when she started at a local clinic as a kennel hand and started studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. After that, she went on to studying Diploma of Veterinary Nursing (Surgical).

    In 2014 Jess moved to a specialist clinic where she did further training in surgery.

    Jess started working at Seville Veterinary Clinic in 2020 and has now become the team’s practice manager of both clinics.

    Yarra Valley has been home for Jess since 2000. She is married with two daughters who you may see around the clinic. Their family enjoys being outdoors on their property and going camping with frriends and family.

    As a passionate veterinary nurse with two years of dedicated experience, Claudia thrives on the rewarding blend of caring for animals, fostering meaningful connections with their owners, and engaging in the intricate world of surgical procedures.

    Claudia’s journey in veterinary nursing has been deeply fulfilling, with a particular love for surgery and a thirst for expanding knowledge in the ever-evolving veterinary field. There's nothing quite as fulfilling as the opportunity to be hands-on in a variety of surgeries within our clinic. Claudia finds that each day presents a new learning experience which allows her to expand her knowledge and expertise in assisting with different surgical procedures. From routine speys and castrations to more complex surgeries, she takes pride in her role in ensuring the well-being of our animal patients throughout their surgical journey. Being able to witness firsthand the positive impact these procedures have on the lives of animals and their owners fills Claudia with a sense of accomplishment and reinforces her passion for veterinary medicine.

    Each day, Claudia is fueled by her unwavering love for animals and the opportunity to make a positive impact on their health and well-being, all while working alongside a dedicated team of professionals who share her commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine.

    Cristie has had a love for animals for as long as she can remember. After finishing high school, she went on to complete a Cert IV in hairdressing and once qualifying, quickly realised she had chosen the wrong path.

    In 2015 Cristie started her Cert IV in Veterinary nursing at Box Hill Institute. She qualified in 2017 and started working at Upper Yarra Veterinary Clinic in 2018. She then became a part of the Seville Veterinary Clinic family in 2023 and is loving it.

    When Cristie isn't at work, she is spending time with her daughter Charlotte and her Bernese Mountain Dog, Odin.

    Kimmie is our resident crazy staffy lady, nursing in small and mixed animal practices since 2009 and graduating as a Veterinary Nurse in 2015.

    She has a special interest in surgical nursing, holistic health care, behaviour and nutrition.

    After growing up in Cairns QLD, she moved down to Victoria to pursue a career in the Veterinary industry and has been a member of the team since 2021.
    At home she is the proud owner of a staffy, a kelpie, a volumptious cat and 15 very spoilt chooks.

    Trainee Veterinary Nurse

    Mik started working with Seville Veterinary Clinic after having the opportunity to be a kennel hand after completing work experience in 2015.

    In 2017 she left the clinic to work as a store supervisor at Pet Barn and working at a local dog boarding kennel.

    The opportunity came to work back at the clinic as a Veterinary Nurse in 2018 and Mik has been there ever since. During this time she has been running successful Puppy Pre School Program, completed Certificate III Animal Studies and is currently studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

    When Mik isn’t working at the clinic she spends her time with her beautiful daughter Everdina, going 4x4 with her family, and spending time with her animals. Mik is also passionate about rescue and rehoming dogs in need from rural areas in Australia.

    Bree has a beautiful tabby cat called Sadie. She has a love for horses and has always owned and ridden, although currently her free time is filled spending time with family including her two children, Hudson and Ruby.
